Powell Twp, MI (June 12, 2023) - On Saturday night, June 10, two people were hurt after an accident involving an off-road vehicle in Powell Township.
The accident was reported at the intersection of Trail 14 and County Road 550 at around 8:30 p.m. It was reported that a 25-year-old Naguanee man was operating a 2023 Polaris ORV when he lost control. The vehicle left the roadway, where it overturned.
A passenger was transported to U.P. Health Systems Marquette for treatment. The driver was taken into custody under suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
