Ashland Twp, MI (June 10, 2023) - Nine people were hurt following a car accident in Ashland Township on Friday, June 9.
The crash occurred near the intersection of M-37 and 136th Avenue at around 5 p.m. A 57-year-old Grant man was driving a pickup truck when he rear-ended a sedan driven by a 47-year-old Grand woman. The impact caused the sedan to spin out and enter the path of an oncoming minivan.
The driver of the sedan suffered serious injuries. The other two drivers were also hurt. Six passengers in the van suffered injuries in the crash. The roadway was shut down in both directions as a result of the accident.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is in progress.
