The latest statistics on pedestrian accidents show that there were more reported pedestrian fatalities in Michigan in 2021 than there were in the previous ten years, with 1,891 pedestrians being involved in traffic accidents statewide. According to data, October is the riskiest month for pedestrians, and between 6 and 7 p.m. is when most pedestrians are hit by cars. Pedestrians who fail to cross at the intersection are still a major contributing factor in many fatal pedestrian crashes, but those unfairly hit by a reckless driver may have grounds for compensation.
A wrongful death happens when a victim is killed as a result of another person's negligence. After a deadly pedestrian collision, the surviving family members may be eligible to make a wrongful death claim. These claims resemble personal injury claims in many ways, but there are also important differences. The purpose of wrongful death cases is to assist the plaintiff in recovering damages on behalf of the deceased victim for losses resulting from the fatal accident.
Although we are aware that a wrongful death case will never be able to bring back a loved one who was killed by a negligent driver, getting financial assistance can help your family. As wrongful death lawyers, it is our intention to pursue financial recompense for the loss of a loved one, and we want to guarantee that the guilty party is punished and that you and your family may recover financially.
