Head-on collisions are some of the most deadly types of accidents that can occur. In a head-on crash, the front area of the car might collapse, putting you and others in your car at serious risk for catastrophic injury or even death.
Approximately 2% of American accidents are head-on, and about 10% of the fatal accident rate in the United States is made up from head-on accidents. Depending on the speed of the head-on crash, survival rates are slim. If a vehicle with four occupants collides head-on with another vehicle at 70 miles per hour, odds are that only one of the four will survive.
Negligent, reckless, and careless drivers cause auto accidents all the time. Driver distraction is currently one of the leading causes of traffic accidents in the United States. If you believe that you or someone you love has recently been hurt by a negligent driver, you may qualify for compensation for your injuries and the damages that may have followed.
Injured victims and their families are often forced to pay thousands of dollars in medical bills, not to mention mental health care, depending on the nature and severity of the crash itself. Some crash experiences, especially those involving death, leave victims with anxiety, depression, and even PTSD. These conditions can be even more debilitating than a severe physical injury. You may be faced with one or both of these problems if you or someone you love has recently been injured in an accident.
Losing a loved one is one of the most devastating things a person can go through. It can be especially troubling when you know that their life was wrongfully cut short by negligence. Filing a wrongful death claim with a wrongful death lawyer in St Clair could help you pay for some or all of the damages that resulted from your loved one’s accident. You could receive compensation for medical bills, vehicle repair costs, lost wages, pain and suffering, emotional turmoil, and more.
