Sterling Heights, MI (March 17, 2022) - A 21-year-old woman lost her life in a car accident in Sterling Heights on Thursday, March 17. According to information from reports, at approximately 1:15 a.m., the fatal wreck occurred on Van Dyke Avenue.
The woman was headed north on Van Dyke between 18 Mile and 19 Mile Roads when a suspected intoxicated driver ran her off the road. Both vehicles ended up near the Henry Ford II High School football field.
Officials said the 21-year-old, who was reportedly from Ohio, lost her life due to her injuries. It remains unclear whether the other driver involved was also hurt.
Nothing further has been reported concerning the circumstances of the wreck at this time.
