Warren, MI (March 14, 2022) - An investigation is currently underway concerning a traffic crash that happened in Macomb County on March 14. At approximately 9:37 a.m., the wreck was reported to authorities in Warren.
The crash involved a Detroit Police Vehicle that was transporting prisoners at the time. Four people inside the vehicle sustained injuries in the accident. Reports indicate the wreck occurred along the southbound lanes of Groesbeck Highway just north of I-696, near 11 Mile Road.
A police officer sustained injuries in the crash as well. At least two people were transported from the scene by ambulance.
The contributing factors of the collision remain unknown at this time.
