White Pigeon, MI (March 9, 2022) - Michigan State Police responded to the scene of a hit and run collision that caused injuries on March 8. The incident occurred on Lake Drive near Lake Road in White Pigeon Township, St Joseph.

Reports indicate that a 40-year-old man sustained injuries when he was making repairs underneath his truck while stopped on the shoulder of the road. A vehicle headed east hit the truck without stopping.

The vehicle fled toward Indiana, according to information from officials. The injured victim was transported to Bronson Hospital to be treated for injuries of an unknown magnitude.

The vehicle that struck the man’s truck was identified as a two-door passenger car.

Police in White Pigeon continue to investigate.
