In Michigan, over 100 pedestrians lose their lives in accidents each year. Pedestrians are some of the most at-risk travelers on the road at any given time. Due to being totally unprotected while going from point A to point B, pedestrians are at a heightened risk of becoming injured or even killed if involved in a traffic collision.
Drivers and pedestrians alike must always be mindful and look out for one another while traveling. It is important for pedestrians to try and make eye-contact with drivers before stepping out into the roadway. This way, it is more likely that they will not get hit by a car due to making their presence known to others on the road.
