Detroit, MI (March 10, 2022) - On Wednesday, March 9, a serious car wreck took place on a roadway in Wayne County. The incident was reported to authorities in the area at around 10:30 p.m.
Information from Michigan State Police states that the wreck occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 at Woodward Avenue when two or more vehicles collided. The reason for the collision remains unknown at this time.
Various responders were dispatched to the scene to assist injured parties and investigate the circumstances of the wreck. The injured victims were transported to an area medical center for treatment as needed.
The roadway was blocked in the vicinity of the crash site while officials worked to clear the scene. Drivers commuting on I-94 near Woodward Avenue were asked to find alternative routes.
