Allendale, MI (March 5, 2022) - A 56-year-old man died on the job in Allendale on Friday, March 4. The man was working at a home construction site in Western Michigan when a stack of wooden trusses fell on him at about 1:25 p.m.
The incident occurred in Allendale Township west of Grand Rapids, according to information from reports. Sheriff’s deputies in Ottawa County stated they believe the man had been unloading the stack from a delivery truck when the accident happened.
The man was pronounced deceased on-site. His identity has not been reported.
Investigators from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration were notified by police about the accident. An investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
