More car accidents happen in Michigan per year than in the majority of other states in the nation. On average, the Wolverine State sees more than 300,000 annual vehicle collisions. During the winter months, Michigan is ranked as the most dangerous state to drive in, beating out Alaska when we compare the number of fatalities caused by car accidents.
