Detroit, MI - Injuries Reported in Major Motor Vehicle Accident on I-696 near Mound

Detroit, MI (February 19, 2022) - On February 18, Friday, just before 8:00 p.m., a serious car crash happened on a roadway in Detroit. Multiple responders were sent to the scene of a car wreck.

When responders arrived at the crash site, located at the intersection of Mound Road and I-696, they found at least one person suffering from injuries. The interstate was closed while crews worked on-site to assist injured parties and investigate.

At this time, no one involved has been identified. Authorities in Detroit continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
