Girard, MI (February 16, 2022) - On Tuesday morning, February 14, one person sustained injuries in a two-car accident at an intersection in Girard. The Branch County Sheriff’s Department reported that the victim was an 84-year-old man from Tekonsha.
The crash occurred when a 37-year-old Wyoming man was headed west on Jonesville Road. He stopped for a stop sign at Marshall Road before entering the intersection at around 11:45 a.m.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, he collided with the elderly Tekonsha man who was then transported by LifeCare Ambulance to ProMedical Coldwater Regional Hospital. His injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
Police continue to investigate the incident. They were assisted by LifeCare Ambulance and Coldwater firefighters at the scene.
