Romulus, MI (February 12, 2022) - Two motorists were killed in a fatal head-on collision that occurred on a roadway in Romulus on Friday, February 4. The incident occurred at approximately 11:55 p.m., according to reports from authorities.
Sources say that the collision took place on Interstate 275 near Eureka Road when a wrong-way driver was heading north on the interstate in a 1999 Chevrolet sedan. The driver was identified as a Redford man, age 36.
The man collided head-on with a 2019 Ford in the southbound lanes of the interstate. The Ford was driven by a 44-year-old woman from Southgate. Both drivers were killed on impact, according to reports.
Investigators added that there were no passengers present in either vehicle at the time of the collision. Authorities continue to investigate the details of the incident.
