Dearborn, MI (January 25, 2022) - A passenger was injured in the aftermath of a fatal collision in Dearborn on Sunday morning, January 23. The deadly accident was reported at around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Greenfield Road and Michigan Avenue.
Local reports revealed that a Chrysler Town and Country minivan was headed eastbound. The vehicle left the roadway where it collided with a utility pole and a tree. The 30-year-old Detroit man driving the car suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 27-year-old Detroit woman riding in the vehicle was taken to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. Initial reports indicated that alcohol and excessive speeds may have played roles in the deadly crash.
An ongoing accident investigation is underway.
