Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Commercial trucks transport the majority of freight in the United States, and these massive vehicles can endanger passengers in passenger cars. Smaller vehicle occupants are more likely to suffer life-threatening injuries in the event of a collision, according to national accident statistics. Over 500,000 trucking accidents are reported each year, resulting in thousands of fatalities.
Semi-trucks are responsible for a large number of fatal car accidents across the country, including right here in Michigan. The numbers speak for themselves, and the bottom line is that Tucking collisions are extremely dangerous, particularly when smaller passenger vehicles are involved. Despite the fact that rig operators are required to prioritize safety, even the most experienced trucker can make a critical error on the road, resulting in a catastrophic 18-wheeler accident.
