Portage Twp, MI (January 8, 2022) - Two people are presumed dead following a house fire in Portage Township on Friday evening, January 7. The deadly blaze was reported at around 9:15 p.m. northwest of Mackinac Bridge.
One person was confirmed dead at the scene. Another person was missing but is presumed to be dead by authorities. Multiple fire departments and emergency units were called to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The cause of the fire has not been released at this time.
