We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
In a head-on crash, the chance of fatal injuries is higher than in other types of collisions. With a death rate of over 58%, head-on crashes are some of the most deadly. These accidents account for more than 10% of all road deaths each year, despite making up less than 2% of reported traffic accidents. Careless or distracted drivers who swerve into opposite lanes of traffic are generally usually to blame for these types of collisions.
Wrongful death lawsuits are intended to compensate surviving family members when the negligent actions of another party cause the death of a loved one. However, obtaining that compensation is often easier said than done. Just because the victim died, that does not mean that the at-fault party should be off the hook. The insurance companies of those at fault will often try to shift blame for a deadly crash. The defendant should instead pay compensation to the family members of the deceased after a deadly car crash in order to help with expenses associated with the accident. This can only be accomplished by partnering with a personal injury attorney in Comstock Township with years of experience helping victims pursue wrongful death claims.
