Detroit, MI (January 3, 2022) – Several lanes were blocked following a major motor vehicle accident on Monday afternoon in Detroit. At around 3:20 p.m., on January 3, the Detroit Police Department, firefighters, and EMS were all requested on-site at a crash on Michigan 39, the Southfield Freeway.
Reports from DPD show that a collision between vehicles blocked the northbound side of Michigan State Route 39 near the intersection of Ford Road.
The crash caused some delays in the area as emergency crews worked to clear the scene and allow thru-traffic.
At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further care.
At this time, investigations surrounding the crash are underway.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims in hopes of a full recovery.
After being injured in a car accident, it is important to have your attorney start their investigation as quickly as possible. This is because witnesses need to be interviewed, pictures need to be taken of the crash scene as well as the vehicle, and other evidence needs to be gathered.
The more time passes, the harder it is to track down witnesses that will help your case, and evidence, such as surveillance videos from nearby stores, could be deleted.
