Monroe, MI (December 29, 2021) - Police officers in Monroe were dispatched to the scene of a major car crash on Tuesday, December 28. According to local officials, the collision happened at approximately 5:00 p.m. on US-223 near the Memorial Highway.
While emergency personnel rendered aid to those involved, both lanes of US-223 were closed. At least one person was hurt in the crash. The magnitude of their injuries remains unknown at this time. All wounded parties were transported to an area medical center by ambulance.
