Corunna, MI (December 30, 2021) - On Tuesday evening, December 28, Shiawassee County police officers were dispatched to the scene of a major car accident. The collision occurred just before 6:00 p.m., sources said.
Westbound Interstate 69 was closed after Grand River Road (Exit 113) while emergency responders assisted injured victims. All lanes remained closed for some time throughout the evening.
At least one person was hurt as a result of the accident. Currently, the extent of the resulting injuries has not been reported. The injured victims were transported by ambulance to an area medical center for treatment as needed.
Local authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident. No further information has been provided to the public at this time.
