Ithaca, MI (December 26, 2021) - According to Ithaca police, an injury accident occurred on M-46 (Monroe Road) on the evening of December 25. The factors contributing to the cause of the incident have not been determined at this time.
The crash was said to have taken place between Crapo Road and Blair Road at approximately 7:00 p.m. between an unspecified number of vehicles. The wreck ended with at least one person sustaining injuries, local reports said.
Numerous emergency responders were seen rendering aid to those involved at the crash scene. Houston police, EMS, and fire crews were present on the roadway for some time in the evening hours of December 25.
The roadway where the crash occurred was closed while first responders worked to clear the wreckage from the area. Local drivers were forced to utilize alternative routes of travel while the scene was active with emergency personnel. No further information has been released concerning the circumstances of the incident at this time.
