Muskegon, MI (December 26, 2021) - Early on Friday morning, December 24, two men in their 20’s were seriously hurt after a traffic collision that occurred in Muskegon. Initial reports reveal the wreck occurred just after midnight.
Sources say the incident took place in the area of 148th Avenue south of Kelly Street. A 23-year-old male was headed south on 148th in a Jeep Grand Cherokee when, for reasons unknown, his vehicle went off the right side of the road and into a ditch.
While driving in the ditch, the Jeep struck a raised driveway, went airborne, and struck two trees. Both occupants of the Jeep were trapped inside due to the force of the crash. Shortly after arriving at the scene, firefighters freed the driver from the vehicle as well as the 24-year-old passenger.
Both injured parties were rushed to an area medical center in order to receive immediate emergency treatment. Nothing further has been reported at this time. Police in Muskegon continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
We hope for the full recovery of those with injuries.
No one ever wants to go through being hurt in an auto accident. It is a strenuous and sometimes nightmarish experience, often accompanied by pain, emotional turmoil, and financial burdens. However, depending on the circumstances of an auto accident, injured parties may be able to collect financial compensation for the damages they endured due to the wreck. Especially if their collision was the result of another person's negligent, reckless, or careless actions.
