Grand Haven, MI (December 21, 2021) - On December 18 at approximately 5:30 p.m., an injury accident happened at an intersection in Ottawa County, Grand Haven. Police and paramedics were sent to assist at the scene shortly after it occurred.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision including a Pontiac G5 and a Toyota. The driver of the G5, a 20-year-old from Dorr, was stopped at the stop sign headed north on 48th Avenue when they drove into the path of the Toyota.
The Toyota’s driver was identified as a 33-year-old man from Zeeland. Both vehicles were pushed into a field off the roadway due to the impact of the crash. Both drivers were issued medical attention at the scene due to injuries.
The driver of the Pontiac was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital while the Toyota’s driver was treated on-site and released. The cause of the incident remains under police investigation.
LIFE EMS and the sheriff’s office as well as the Jamestown Township Fire Department were observed on-site for some time after the wreck took place.
