Detroit, MI (December 14, 2021) - An auto accident on an interstate in Detroit resulted in injuries and traffic delays on December 14. The wreck was reported to authorities at approximately 5:38 p.m., according to information from officials.
The incident occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 at Lapeer Road and blocked the left shoulder, left lane, and left-center lane of the roadway. Only the right lane was open for several hours on Tuesday.
The area was active with responders for several hours while they worked to determine the cause of the accident and assist injured parties at the scene. At least one person was transported from the site of the crash to a local hospital for treatment.
At this time, the total number of injured victims has not been reported as police continue to investigate. Traffic was heavy in the area and police asked local motorists to use alternate routes.
