Michigan is a heavily populated state with more than 7 million licensed drivers and over 100,000 miles of paved roadways. According to road and highway facts from the Michigan Department of Transportation, the Wolverine State has enough pavement on their roadways to build a one-lane road from the Earth to the moon. Understandably, and unfortunately, many car crashes take place in Michigan that often lead to injuries and sometimes fatalities.
If you or a loved one of yours has recently been hurt in a Michigan car accident, you need to ask yourself two things:
Victims of auto accidents in Michigan are able to benefit from the comparative negligence law–which means that even if you’re partially at fault for a crash, you may still be able to recover some financial compensation for your injuries and losses that may have resulted from the incident. For instance, if you’re 50% at fault, you may be able to recover 50% of your damages. A car crash lawyer in Detroit will be able to help you further understand your right toward financial compensation if you have recently been hurt in a crash.
A Detroit personal injury lawyer may be your best bet at recovering financially, physically, and even emotionally after being hurt in a wreck. Having the financial burden lifted from your shoulders through the collection of financial compensation can make a big difference in your stress level and ability to focus on your physical recovery. The dedicated team of lawyers at the Michigan Legal Center help injured victims get justice and collect the financial compensation they deserve after being hurt by the actions of careless, reckless, and thoughtless drivers.
