Michigan Pedestrian Accidents

Clarkston, MI - Pedestrian Hit by Car, Injured near Second & Bridge Streets

Thousands of pedestrians lose their lives each year in traffic accidents, while tens of thousands sustain injuries. Some of these injuries are debilitating or even fatal. Children and the elderly are especially vulnerable to these types of accidents. When walkers are struck by vehicles, their injuries are often much more devastating than the injuries sustained by those hurt in regular traffic accidents.

Victims of pedestrian accidents in Michigan caused by driver negligence are eligible to collect financial compensation for the following no-fault benefits:

  • All medical expenses related to the crash
  • Lost wages
  • Accessibility modification expenses resulting from the crash, i.e. the need for a wheelchair ramp at home
  • Attendant services, i.e. in-home nursing care
  • And more

In severe injury cases that result in disability, a serious bodily impairment, or even death, victims are able to seek additional damages from the at fault driver based on the negligence demonstrated in the cause of the incident. These include pain and suffering, emotional turmoil, and other non-economic damages. A Michigan pedestrian accident attorney will be able to help you figure out what losses you have suffered and put a monetary value on your injuries.
