After being injured in a car accident, it is important to have your attorney start their investigation as quickly as possible. This is because witnesses need to be interviewed, pictures need to be taken of the crash scene as well as the vehicle, and other evidence needs to be gathered. The more time passes, the harder it is to track down witnesses that will help your case, and evidence, such as surveillance videos from nearby stores, could be deleted.
Your insurance carrier could, and most likely is, undervaluing your no-fault benefits without your knowledge. There are very strict deadlines for filing personal injury and insurance claims. If you miss one of these deadlines, your case will be thrown out and you will not be given the opportunity to re-file, meaning you will be unable to collect compensation for your damages.
