Olive Township, MI (December 3, 2021) - Police and other responders were sent to assist at the scene of an auto accident reported in Olive Township. The incident happened at approximately 12:04 p.m. on the afternoon of November 28.
The contributing factors of the wreck are still under local law enforcement investigation at this time. It happened in the southbound lanes of US-31 near Port Sheldon Street, sources said.
Numerous respondents were seen in the area shortly after the incident took place, causing the roadway to close for some time on the afternoon of November 28. One or more people sustained injuries in the collision, however, the extent of those injuries has not been determined.
Paramedics were seen assisting injured victims on-site before transporting them to local medical centers as needed. Traffic was backed up on US-31 near Port Sheldon for some time while crews worked at the scene.
