Kalamazoo, MI (November 29, 2021) - On Sunday, November 28th, an ambulance transporting a patient in critical condition was struck by a car in Kalamazoo.
The loaded ambulance had its lights and sirens activated and was on its way to Bronson Methodist Hospital when it and another vehicle entered the intersection of South Westnedge Avenue and Whites Road at the same time.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the scene at about 9:25 p.m.
A second ambulance was dispatched to take over the transportation of the critical patient to the hospital.
At least one more ambulance was called to transport the rest of the non-critically injured victims.
Police said alcohol and drugs were not factors in this accident.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
After being harmed in a serious car accident, your attorney needs to begin their investigation right away. This is so they can question witnesses while their memories are still fresh, take pictures of the scene and the vehicle before the debris is cleared and roadways are repaired, and gather any additional evidence that supports your version of events before it disappears.
The longer your personal injury lawyer takes to start, the less likely they will be able to track down witnesses that will help your case, and evidence, such as surveillance videos from nearby stores, could be deleted or recorded over.
Your car insurance company can, and probably is, undervaluing your no-fault benefits without you even being aware of it. There are very strict deadlines for filing personal injury and insurance claims.
If you miss one of these deadlines, your case will be rejected and you will not be given the opportunity to re-file, meaning you will be unable to collect compensation for your damages.
