Almer Township, MI (November 30, 2021) - Authorities in Tuscola County are currently investigating the circumstances of an accident that left a woman and child with serious injuries. The incident was reported on the morning of Tuesday, November 30.
Michigan State Police and paramedics reported to the scene of the wreck located on Colling Road north of Fairgrove Road shortly after the wreck occurred in order to assist the injured parties.
Photos from the crash site show a semi-trailer partially tipped and jackknifed onto a Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV. Investigators stated that the woman and child present in the SUV at the time of the wreck were rushed to a local medical center to be treated for serious injuries.
Their current health conditions are not available to report at this time. The driver of the semi-truck did not sustain any injuries in the accident. A Michigan State Police crash reconstruction team is currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
