Olive, MI (November 28, 2021) - Two women were injured in a car accident on Sunday, November 28th in Olive Township.
The accident took place at about 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Port Sheldon Street and US-31 when the driver of a GMC Acadia crashed into the rear-end of a Ford Explorer that had stopped for a red light in the southbound lanes of US-31.
The driver of the Explorer was taken by ambulance to Holland Hospital in serious condition. The driver of the GMC was also transported to Holland Hospital for evaluation and treatment of non-critical injuries.
Southbound US-31 was closed for an hour for the safety of investigators and those cleaning up the scene.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
If you have been injured in a car accident, it is essential that your attorney launches an investigation right away. This is so they can question witnesses, take pictures of the scene and the vehicle, and gather additional evidence that supports your version of events.
The longer your personal injury lawyer takes to begin their investigation the less likely they will be able to track down witnesses that will help your case, and evidence, such as surveillance videos from nearby stores, could be deleted.
Your car insurance company can, and probably is, undervaluing your no-fault benefits without your awareness. There are very strict deadlines for filing personal injury and insurance claims.
If you miss one of these deadlines, your case will be rejected and you will not be given the opportunity to re-file, meaning you will be unable to collect compensation for your damages.
