After being hurt in a car accident, it is vital that your personal injury attorney begin their investigation right away. This is so that witnesses can be questioned, pictures can be taken of the vehicle and the scene, and other evidence can be collected.
The longer you wait, the harder it will be for witnesses to remember what they saw, and evidence, like security videos from area stores, could be erased.
Your insurance company can, and will, undervalue your no-fault benefits without a second thought. There are very strict deadlines for filing personal injury and insurance claims.
If you let even one of these deadlines lapse, your case will be tossed out and you will not be given the opportunity to re-file, meaning you will be unable to collect compensation for your damages.
