Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
It is not unusual for a passenger to be injured in a car accident. The AAA Foundation For Traffic Safety stated that the number of passenger injuries and deaths is actually about 50% greater than the rate of driver injuries and deaths. An extensive study was conducted based on driver age and the rate of deaths and injuries for every 100 million miles driven.
Passenger injury claims can be very complicated and are challenging to win due to complex insurance laws. Oftentimes, the driver of the vehicle is the victim’s relative or friend and they are reluctant to file a claim and cause their insurance rates to rise.
