Grand Rapids, MI (November 21, 2021) - A portion of a roadway in Grand Rapids was closed due to a serious car wreck that occurred in the evening hours on November 19. At approximately 7:15 p.m., police, EMTs, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene to help those involved.
Upon their arrival at the crash site, located on 129th Avenue, they found at least one person in need of emergency medical care. The collision was reported to have occurred between US-131 and 10th Street.
One or more people required transportation to an area hospital for treatment, but the total number of injured parties has not been reported at this time. Numerous responders were present at the scene for an extended time period throughout the evening.
Traffic was backed up in the area while crews worked to clear the roadway and assist injured parties. Police in Grand Rapids continue to investigate the details of the incident.
