Alaiedon Township, MI (November 19, 2021) - An 83-year-old man is in the hospital in critical condition after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Alaiedon Township in Ingham County, Michigan. Reports indicate that the wreck happened at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 19.
Police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene of the incident located at the intersection of Willoughby Road and Hagadorn Road shortly after the collision occurred. A 17-year-old female resident of Mason was headed south on Hagadorn when she was involved in a crash with an 83-year-old man, also from Mason.
Officers with the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office were present at the scene, along with the East Lansing Police Department, EMS, and fire crews. The elderly man was transported to an area medical center in critical condition while the teenager was transported with minor injuries.
The intersection was closed for some time on Friday while crews worked to investigate and clear the roadway. Police in Alaiedon continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
