Troy, MI - British National Fatally Struck by Car at Livernois Rd and W. Big Beaver Rd

Troy, MI (November 18, 2021) -  Officers from the Troy Police Department said a man from Great Britain was killed on Wednesday, November 17th when he and a friend were struck by a car turning from Livernois Road onto West Big Beaver Road.

Officials said the accident took place at about 8:00 p.m. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the two men, 48 and 51-years-old, were crossing West Big Beaver Road at Livernois Road when a car traveling southbound on Livernois turned right and struck them.

The two men, both from Great Britain, were transported by paramedics to Royal Oak Beaumont. The 48-year-old man died from his injuries. The 51-year-old man was in stable condition.

Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash. 

The family of the deceased has not yet been contacted due to the complexities associated with his international citizenship.
